Sweden stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Stockholm 30 up 0.33%

Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.33%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb), which rose 6.61% or 0.30 points to trade at 4.88 at the close. Meanwhile, Boliden AB (ST:BOL) added 3.16% or 10.20 points to end at 333.00 and Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb) was up 1.64% or 2.60 points to 157.80 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVb), which fell 1.27% or 1.00 points to trade at 79.60 at the close. NIBE Industrier AB ser. B (ST:NIBEb) declined 1.00% or 0.40 points to end at 40.70 and Evolution AB (ST:EVOG) was down 0.99% or 8.40 points to 838.60.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 406 to 350 and 91 ended unchanged.

Shares in NIBE Industrier AB ser. B (ST:NIBEb) fell to 3-years lows; falling 1.00% or 0.40 to 40.70.

Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.19% or 0.87 to $74.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.27% or 0.97 to hit $77.13 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.47% or 12.49 to trade at $2,684.89 a troy ounce.

EUR/SEK was down 0.13% to 11.49, while USD/SEK unchanged 0.04% to 11.15.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 109.00.
